Good Counsel is an attorney-matching service for Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. Good Counsel is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you. Information published on this site is general information, not legal advice.

No attorney-client relationship

Using Good Counsel — including starting a conversation, submitting documents, or receiving a match — does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Good Counsel. An attorney-client relationship begins only when a licensed attorney agrees in writing to represent you.

Attorney matching

We route matters based on practice area, jurisdiction, and other factors. A match is not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee outcomes. Attorneys retain full independent judgment on whether to accept, decline, or refer any matter.

Use of the service

Good Counsel is free to use for people seeking legal help. We ask that you provide accurate information during intake so that the attorney you’re matched with can help you effectively.

Emergencies

Good Counsel is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or facing a life-safety situation, call 911 or the appropriate local resource. Domestic violence resources are available at 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline).
